If you really want to change your body and make your muscles more defined you really are going to have to challenge your body and make it work for you which means if you are going to the gym and kind of just hanging out and kind of making you body work you will never make it to the body you want. IF you really want those muscle to be defined you are going to have to make your body work for you and that means that you are going to have to do the reps of muscle building workouts until you can no longer do them with good form.

That means if you can do 15 reps of one exercise you really need to do 15 and not stop at 8 because that is what you were told to do. You have to change your body by changing your routing and the way you work out. I promise this is going to be the best way for you to build muscle and make your body the way you want it to be. You can also add cardio to your workout to help you melt that fat that is around your muscles.


Add more mass - September 25th, 2009

If you really want to add more tone to your body is through cardio and weight training combined. Weight training is important because you have to build those muscles and you have to rip those muscles up and let them rebuild then you have to lift weights often enough that you will really challenge them and make them work and change the build of your muscle. You also need to add cardio to the mix because if you have fat around your muscles then it will be really hard for you to find a way to get those muscles to show if you have a layer of fat.

The best way to get rid of all the fat in your body is to do a lot of cardio and make your body get rid of that fat. IF you do these two things on different days you will see a big boost on how your body is defined and your muscles will become more defined and you will get that look you are trying for. You also have to cut your calories down to help your body cut down on the amount of fat you have in your body and in around your muscles


Short Workouts - September 25th, 2009

If you really want  to build muscle and make your body slimmer and more lean then you really need to cut down you work out and make it count. I know that most people will tell you that if you want to build real muscles and tone up your going to have to spend more time at the gym but that is just not true you really can get a great workout in just 20 minutes a day you just have to make sure that the workout includes a lot of weight lifting exercises.

That also get your heart rate up at the same time you can do this with either a workout video or you can go to a gym and go to a class. Most of the classes you can  sign up for will be longer than 20 minutes so the best way to really get the work out is to just buy a good video. The best one I have found is the biggest loser videos they are all only 20 minutes and really give you what your looking for. This is a great way to really give your body that tone look your looking for in not a lot of time.


Is The BMI Accurate? - September 16th, 2009

Almost 90% of America takes what the scale says and uses that as the point of fact to tell them if they are overweight or obese or underweight or so on but the truth is the scale is a liar if that is the only thing you are using to measure your level of fitness. You really need to be measuring your BMI. BMI stands for your body mass index and that means what percent of you is fat and what is muscle and according to your height what you should be at.

If you don’t know how to find out your BMI let me tell you all you have to do is take your weight in pounds and divide that into your height in inches squared and then times that number by 703. That is the math formula to finding out your BMI and once you know that number you can asses where you are and where you should be. IF you want to know where you stand let me tell you if your number is below 18.5 you are under weight. If that number is 18.5-24.9 then you are in the normal range if that number is 25-29.9 then you are overweight and if that number is higher than 29.9 you are considered obese


Soda & Body Mass - September 15th, 2009

If you are looking for a good way to add muscle to your body you may also want to look at things that actually take away from your muscle mass too. I am talking about soda. Soda can actually take your muscle mass and break it down. We have all heard about the bad things that soda can do to your body but I think this takes the cake the fact that it actually takes away from your muscle mass is a big deal. You need those muscles to move your body and the fact that this drink can actually make those muscle less is a big deal that we need to look at even if you’re not trying to build up your muscles.

And it doesn’t matter if you drink diet or regular the problem is the same if you drink either soda. If you really have to have a soda then you can have one just be careful not to drink too many try to keep it less than one a week if you can. The best option is to just stop drinking it all together because it’s just bad for you all around. Also this makes me think you really shouldn’t give soda to kids because their muscles are still growing and need all the mass they are building.


Side Effects Of High Protein Diets - September 13th, 2009

My husband started a muscle building regime about a month ago and it was not good. He decided to cut down all his carbs and only eat vegetables and protein well let me tell you something really bad happened. Because he was eating so much protein and no carbs his body started to use that protein for energy and when the body did that it had to break down the protein different from the carbs and it created a large amount of ammonia in his body.

Well after about a week of this diet he started to notice that his man area started to smell like ammonia. At first he tried to ignore it and just wash better but that really didn’t work because the problem was inside his body not outside so he really couldn’t was it out so finally he went to his doctor to find out what was going on. When his doctor told him it was because of his new diet and all he had to do was add more cabs back into his diet he was so relieved and so was I, Phew. So the next time you want to go on an all protein diet think again or you will start to smell like cat pee.


Syntha-6 - September 13th, 2009

Increasing energy - September 12th, 2009

If you can get your body to need more energy than it already is working with than your body will give it to you through means of breaking down the fat and that is why exercise is so important in any diet and if you are trying to lose weight. You just have to get your body to move more energy than your taking in and there are so many ways you can do that. Instead of driving to the store ride your bike.

Instead of driving to the mail box why don’t you take a little walk and go get it on foot. These are just a few ways you can get moving but really no one has an excuse not to get up and move. Diet is also not as hard as you think It’s going to be just give your body healthy calories instead of empty calories which just make you fat and don’t give your body what it needs to be able to function. Your body is like an engine if you put diesel fuel in it you’re going to break down and now work. Your body was made for good food and that’s what it needs


Kettle ball - September 11th, 2009

If you want to workout and use weights but are getting sick of it all and just need a change in your workout you can try a kettle ball. Kettle balls are all the new rage and are a great way to firm up fast. It is not only a new free weight to use it also has new moves to go along with it and that is a good way to mix things up and change your body even more. You can find a lot of classes at the gym that will use kettle balls and also a ton of videos you can use at home.

My favorite is the 10 minute solution. It is the best kettle ball movie workout I have ever found. It has the best moves and you can shoos what to do and it only takes 10 minutes which is great for those of you that are on a time limit. I know oyu can fit in 10 minutes each day to change your body and take things to a whole new level of fitness. It is easy to hold and the moves are easy to follow so even you beginners can benefit and keep up with this movie.
