Weight training is important because you have to build those muscles and you have to rip those muscles up and let them rebuild then you have to lift weights often enough that you will really challenge them and make them work and change the build of your muscle. You also need to add cardio to the mix because if you have fat around your muscles then it will be really hard for you to find a way to get those muscles to show if you have a layer of fat.
The best way to get rid of all the fat in your body is to do a lot of cardio and make your body get rid of that fat. IF you do these two things on different days you will see a big boost on how your body is defined and your muscles will become more defined and you will get that look you are trying for. You also have to cut your calories down to help your body cut down on the amount of fat you have in your body and in around your muscles
